While sorting telescope images from a fictional sky survey, a volunteer spotted a faint object blinking oddly. The research team confirmed it was worth investigating and put the volunteer’s name on the follow-up request. Asked about their method, they said they had zoomed in because the shape reminded them of a biscuit. The team declined to rule out biscuits as a research tool.
