A school astronomy club restored an old telescope using a replacement mount and considerable patience. At the first viewing, a pupil asked whether the craters were really there. The teacher said yes. Everyone queued again. The equipment inventory now lists the instrument as “working,” with “honestly, wow” added in pencil beside it.
Some upgrades are a clearer view of something ancient.
